Wind Engineering

The focus of Tanner Consulting with regard to wind engineering includes building performance during severe storm events and sheltering during severe storms. Storm events include tornadoes, hurricanes, straight line winds, snow, rain, and lightning. Services regarding sheltering include consultation on the design of FEMA 320 residential shelters, FEMA 361 community shelters and the identification of "Safer Places of Refuge" from storms for schools, businesses, and manufacturing plants.
